Peer Support

Peer support is a type of encouragement, advice, and emotional help provided by someone who has experienced the problems you are currently experiencing. They have “been there, done that” and can provide a unique perspective from someone who understands what you’re going through.

PCS offers a broad range of traditional outpatient mental health services to adults and children. We provide comprehensive mental health treatment services
We provide guidance, counseling, basic life coaching, and training for the poor and affluent in seminars and retreats focusing on workplace and family issues
Tennessee Mental Health Consumers’ Association offers support groups, peer support, and education for adults with mental illness, substance use, and dual diagnoses.
Members entering the program for the first time will go through an orientation period in which they will spend time in each of the training units.
Hope Enrichment Center (Southaven) provides individual and couple’s counseling with a focus on trauma. The majority of our therapists are trained in EMDR.
Provide self-pay, sliding scale counseling services Monday – Friday for children, teens, and adults who live in Shelby County. Also provide info/referral.
We help children up to the age of 22 who come to us due to emotional and behavioral disorders, physical or sexual abuse, substance abuse, or suicidal ideation.
The Athena Project offers free evaluation and possible treatment for women who seek help for emotional problems from intimate partner violence.
