UT Psychiatry helps adults deal with emotional and social problems ranging from depression to eating disorders and schizophrenia. While much is still to be learned about these conditions, researchers now know that many of them are caused by biological, social or environmental factors. Fortunately, most of these illnesses can be treated effectively with psychotherapy and/or medication. University Clinical Health’s interdisciplinary team of board-certified psychiatrists and licensed psychologists offer personalized, compassionate care that focuses on improving quality of life for patients. We work with patients to help them understand their problems, acquire long-term coping skills and manage situations independently after they leave our care.
